Open wireless access networks and Web 2.0: UWiC and FON
UWiC is an open lab where to develop and test new applications and services to be freely delivered across a wireless network.
FON is the largest wireless community based on a user-level connection-sharing system.
Alessandro Bogliolo (UWiC) and Stefano Vitta (FON) discuss the role of open wireless access networks in web communities and announce the new partnership between UWiC and FON.
The staff of the UWiC lab is available to provide technical details and to collect ideas/suggestions of new services and applications to be implemented in UWiC.
