Portal The UWiC portal contains original information and free services provided by the University of Urbino and its partners specifically for wireless campus users. In addition, the portal also contains copies of external websites reproduced internally so that they are freely accessible in accordance with current guidelines. By law, surfing the Internet outside UWiC is not allowed without user identification. Unidentified users will be redirected to the UWiC portal when they attempt to access external sites. University of Urbino students will be able to access the Internet after identifying themselves using there personal accounts. Users and employees of partner organizations that offer the network service will go through the same identification process to access external websites.
Surfing and searches
This page will contain links to the many portal sections and the reproduced sites, and will allow users to run open text searches on all contents. The University of Urbino sites that can be visited through UWiC are also listed in the UniUrb portal section. The search engine will be available as of November 2006. Links to topic sections of the site are found on the pages dedicated to each of the topics and can be selected using the links bar. |
